Project: Optical Calibration Device (OCD)

The full scope of this project is confidential to General Fusion. The OCD was designed individually over 3 months with various design reviews, iterations, and optimizations.

The purpose of the device is to provide fiducials to be used in the calibration of optical diagnostic equipment. The fiducial arms are spring-actuated, and translate using a 300 mm long travel stage mounted to the chassis of the assembly. Due to the complexity of the mating parts, specialized design decisions were made to ensure accurate/consistent operation.
